no one ever died

It dawns on me that it's August 3 and I haven't written anything significant since my last update on Sunday. I'm still 1:50 in the first episode of The Inside and am still gathering the basic 'who's who', 'where's where' and 'what's it all about' information to go any further. I'll get through it. I don't think there's anything significant on TV tonight (other than CSI:NY to tape) so I can work on it. I'll have to check my calendar. It's a shame that they cancelled The Inside. I guess I'll have to wait till it makes its rounds in syndication or in the International Market before I can get ahold of all the episodes.

On the Co-worker front: LK finished HBP and we barely had any discussion about it. Other than the 'it was good' and 'I have to wait how long for the next book' comments, she really didn't have a whole lot to say about the book. She liked it enough, but (I think) she had more enthusiasm for GoF and OotP. I think we're both just waiting for Part 2 (Book 7) to come out before giving it a real determination. CT has the book (her daughter finished it), but she hasn't started reading it. She's too distracted by other occurrences in her life to devote the kind of time she wants to to it. And CN isn't interested in HP at all.

My brother, however, calls me at work to bounce off any HBP Theory/Explanation that hits him while he's at work. :) My brother, if you recall me mentioning it before, is an R/Hr shipper. It's a lesson in patience for me. He had to sit through my excessive H/Hr gushing through GoF and OotP that now it's his turn to gush. Go him. I do have a couple of theories that I'll be writing up for him to read later. I'm still pulling out quotes to support the theory. Knowing him, he'll agree with me on a couple (if not all) of them. :)

I loaned my copy of Global Frequency to LK at work and she absolutely loved it. She called me from home just to tell me that ... and that she wanted to let her nephew watch it as well. I told her go ahead. I was just too tickled that she called me at work to tell me that instead of just waiting till the next work day. That, plus I had the feeling that she was skeptical and rather indulgent of me when I handed her the disk to take home to watch. It just makes me smile that I know people well enough to guess accurately enough what interests them. I think the unsold pilot is going to make its rounds at the office. It is so well worth it.

:)
